Step Reduction
When a unit suffers a step reduction, simply flip the unit. A Four Step unit, will become a 3 step unit, and 2 Step unit a 1 step Unit. If you need to increase the number of steps (recovering stragglers for example), then just keep flipping the unit. A 1 Step unit when flipped will become a 4 step unit. In other words, the flip sides of units are not mirror images of each other.

Facing
This games uses facing. You can change the facing of a unit by accessing it through the normal unit pop up box. The column to change facing is in the far left.

Activation Chits
All of the activation chits start in the pool named "Select Chits", when formations have their selection chits brought into play, transfer the piece to the "Draw Cup" pool. When drawing from the "Draw Cup" pool, use the random draw function, and put the piece somewhere on the board. When all chits are drawn, simply remove the necessary pieces back to the pool.

Unit Values
The unit values are set as "Su=supply level", "F=Fatigue Level", and "St=Stragglers".
A supply value of 1 is full supply, while a Supply value of 4 means out o fsupply. A fatigue value of 1 means Full Rest, while a Fatigue value of 8 is exhausted. There are several other levels in between. A straggler value of 0, means no stragglers. Straggler values of 2 means 2 steps of stragglers missing. I will put a quick summary of some of the important value levels in one of the Info Page pull down menus.
Reinforcements
Reinforcement units can be found in the pools marked "CSA" or "USA". The reinforcements for each scenario are set up with the correct step and fatigue levels, you just need to transfer them to the board, and go from there. Supply Wagons are also in the pools.
